Psychiatry

I am a consultant psychiatrist in Brighton. I work as a part-time consultant liaison psychiatrist with a special interest in the interface between physical and mental illness. I believe in psychological therapies for the treatment of mental illness, including depression.

I brought the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) to Sussex. This is an innovative, safe, effective and well-tolerated, non-invasive treatment for patients with depression, including those who haven’t benefited from antidepressant medications or can’t tolerate them due to side effects or wish to treat depression without medication. rTMS is approved by NICE (The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) as effective and safe and the effect is long lasting.

I also have extensive medico-legal experience as I have also worked in forensic psychiatry and forensic medicine.
