My interests lie principally in lower limb surgery. I specialise specifically in complex hip surgery including revision hip surgery, resurfacing, uncemented and cemented replacements. I use a variety of bearing surfaces including metallic surfaces, ceramic and also the more traditional metal on polyethylene (plastic). The principal types of hip replacement that I use include the Trident uncemented cup (Stryker), the Onifit uncemented Stryker stem, the Exeter stem and also the Birmingham resurfacing.

I live with my wife, Carmel, and two boys Declan and Marcus, in Alfriston, East Sussex. My wife and I have just built a new house and have spent the last two years on this project. My main interests outside of work include playing golf, sailing and gardening.
I am originally from Wales and am a keen rugby supporter having played rugby for Guy’s Hospital.
