What happens at the Female Fertility MOT?

The Female Fertility MOT includes an AMH (Anti-müllerian hormone) Blood Test with our nurse. This test measures the level of anti-müllerian hormone (AMH) in the blood.  The role of AMH and whether levels are normal depend on your age and gender.

You will also have a transvaginal ultrasound with Mr Jamal Zaidi, which is a a look at your reproductive organs, including your uterus and ovaries. Mr Zaidi will also look at your ovaries to measure their volume and count the antral follicles, which tells him more about your egg reserve.

Following your tests, Mr Zaidi will see you for a consultation to discuss the results. He will be able to advise if any further investigations are required, or provide recommendations for life style changes or treatment if required.

You can bring a partner to the consultation with you. They will be asked to wait in our Reception area whilst you have your ultrasound scan.
