I have been a Consultant for 25 years. My Practice has always encompassed three main areas of plastic surgery; cosmetic surgery, hand surgery and skin cancer management. My hand surgery practice is very broad and includes treatment of children with congenital anomalies and a broad spectrum of degenerative conditions. I also treat many patients with Dupuytren’s Disease. I am a core member of the East Sussex Hospital Trust Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team; I routinely remove benign skin lesions such as moles, and I also offer complex/ reconstructive treatments for skin cancer. In my Cosmetic Surgery Practice I routinely perform surgery to correct ageing changes and the consequences of pregnancy and weight loss, I also carry out procedures to correct correct prominent ears and also nasal reshaping; cosmetic plastic surgery is about restoring confidence and well being and is frequently a life-changing process.

Over the last 25 years I have performed hundreds of aesthetic surgical procedures including cosmetic breast surgery, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty (nose jobs). My Hand Surgery is extremely busy and routinely involves surgery for nerve compression (including carpal tunnel syndrome), thumb base arthritis, Dupuytren’s Disease, Trigger digit release and ganglion excision. I treat patients with benign skin lesions and skin cancer on a weekly basis.

I have always been heavily involved in medical education especially through my membership of the organising committee for the Instructional Courses in Hand Surgery organised by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand; I was on committee for 8 years until 2021

I was previously the Clinical Director for the Plastic Surgery unit at the Queen Victoria Hospital for 5 years, and Chairman of the Hospital Trauma Management Group for many years. I have previously chaired the QVH Consultants committee and also co-chaired its Local Negotiating Group.
