Mr Jaunoo is a Consultant General, Upper GI and Laparoscopic Surgeon. He is available to see and treat patients privately at Sussex Premier Health in Hastings.

Mr Jaunoo qualified in medicine from St. Bartholomew’s & The Royal London School of Medicine. During his undergraduate studies he spent a year completing laboratory-based research in pancreatic cancer. He carried out his postgraduate surgical training in the West Midlands, including time spent working in liver transplantation, organ retrieval, hepatobiliary surgery and oesophagogastric cancer surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. He also trained at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire in trauma, upper GI cancers and complex benign, advanced endoscopy and complex hernia surgery.  He spent several months in California working with the surgical teams at UCSF.

Mr Jaunoo was awarded a Master of Surgery with distinction by the University of Edinburgh for his postgraduate research and spent two years as Senior Clinical Fellow in oesophagogastric surgery at Oxford University Hospitals before being appointed as a Consultant.

Mr Jaunoo founded the Warwickshire Surgical Research Group, the South East Surgical Research Collaborative, has published several book chapters, has multiple peer-reviewed publications and is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer.

Mr Jaunoo has a passion for research and medical education and has taught and examined at the Universities of Bristol, Kent, Brighton, Warwick, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Oxford. He was twice nominated for ‘surgical tutor of the year’ at Oxford University Medical School.
